At Tintero we believe that your privacy is non-negotiable. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and, more importantly, how we protect it.

When you create an account: Email address (for authentication), username (optional), password (encrypted), account creation date.
When you sync content: Your writing projects and documents (for synchronization only), app settings and preferences, basic metadata.
Minimal technical data: IP address (for security only), device type and operating system version, error logs (without personal content).
3. What We Use Your Data For
What we DON'T do: ❌ We don't sell your information to third parties, ❌ We don't analyze your content for advertising, ❌ We don't create behavioral profiles, ❌ We don't use your content to train AI, ❌ We don't share your data with commercial partners.
4. How We Protect Your Data
4.2. Limited Access: Only essential technical staff can access servers, and never your content without explicit legal authorization.
4.3. Brutal honesty: Data breaches happen at all tech companies. We do everything possible to prevent them, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Where We Store Your Data
5.2. Providers: We use trusted providers that comply with enterprise security standards.
5.3. No unnecessary transfers: Your data does not travel outside the EU without your explicit consent.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
6.2. After account deletion: 30 days to allow accidental recovery, then complete deletion.
6.3. Technical logs: Maximum 90 days, only to solve technical problems.
6.4. Billing data: We do NOT store credit card information. Everything is processed by secure third-party platforms.

To exercise these rights, contact us. We will respond within a maximum of 30 days.
